Meet Heliadora Saqui, an Indigenous Mopan Mayan woman who, operates the COCKSCOMB DINER, and serves great authentic Mayan Cuisine. She serves Mayan Caldo Chicken, Cohune Cabbage, Hear of palm roasted over fire-heart and more. All served with handmade corn tortillas, white rice or flour tortillas.
She also serves good Belizean favorite dishes, such as stewed chicken with Rice and beans and other favorite food. Also vegetarian dishes.
We operate a small bar that serves great Belizean liquors and great cocktail drinks after a great day of hiking in Jaguar reserve, or ice cold beers or simply relax with a tall glass of ice cold fresh squeezed orange, grapefruit, lime or other fresh tropical fruit juices such as papaya, mango, sour sap and tamarind.
