Package 1 – Cockscomb Maya tours special

• 6 days 5 nights. Included in this package are Rooms at Nuuck Cheil Cottages,
• entrance fee, ground transportation, 3 meals a day for 5 days. Last day is complimentary, tours, tour guide and water.
• Minimum of 3 people.
• 6 or more person, the group leader goes free.

This Package gives you the unique opportunity to stay in the Maya Village and see the daily lives of the living Mayas. Listen to their special language and learn as much as you can about their lives, culture, food and the plants and their medicinal uses they use, their the skills used in building thatch roof buildings that can withstand hurricane force winds and simply enjoy nature through the eyes of the Mayas, and enjoy delicious Mayan cuisine.

Day 1:-

Arrival at the Belize International Airport. Drive to Maya Center Village with a narrative tour and site seeing along the way. Check in at Nuuk Che'il Cottages, in the Maya village, a welcome dinner at the Cockscomb Diner and relax for the evening.

Day 2:-

8:30am: pickup at cottages and drive up to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, Jaguar Preserve. Nature trail hike, birding, plant and their medicinal uses and listen to the sounds of nature. Lunch and continue the adventure. Float down tubes on the South Stann Creek River that meanders through the Park and hike up to the water fall where you will swim have fun and finish off the day. Head back to Cottage.

Day 3 :-

8:30 am: leave for Xunantunich an Exotic Mayan site, situated in the Cayo District. Step on the soil that the ancient Mayas stepped on. The Maya ruin is one of the most visited sites. You will get a chance to ride on a hand cranked ferry, that will take you across the Mopan river. Have lunch at one of the best restaurant in Cayo, gift shop hopping and head back to the lodge. Dinner at the Cockscomb Diner.

Day 4 :-

Today, we will have light breakfast and Mayan Coffee served on site as we have a 5:00 am departure for Red Bank village to see the magnificent Scarlet Macaw roaming through the Maya Village. These birds are early so we got to be early too. Drive back to Maya Center and lunch at the Diner. The afternoon is free as we get ready for a 3 hour night tour. Here you will get a chance to see the nocturnal wildlife and experience jungle life in the dark. Dinner is at 6:00pm and tour leaves at 7:00pm

Day 5:-

CULTURAL DAY. Today, you take a tour of the Maya Center Maya Museum. Here you learn the life history of the living Mayas that are untold. You will get to see and participate in the demonstrations and meet our Live Marimba players and Dancer. You will enjoy a typical Mayan dish, for lunch prepared especially for you. Here, you can purchase homemade chocolate, coffee and Mayan biscuit. In the afternoon, meet the herbalist of Mayan woman who heals locals here and uses traditional herbs as medicine. Speak to her one on one and take tour of her herbal garden.
Dinner is at 6:00 pm.

Day 6:-

Please confirm your next destination, to determine your departure time at Maya Center Village or the time you need to check in at the Bze Int. Airport, as we Would like to do complimentary stop at the Belize zoo along the way.
